On 11/8/09, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a Canine Officer was patrolling the area of 78 and Greenwood Av N when he saw and smelled smoke in the area. The officer located a fire behind a business in the 7700 block of Greenwood Av N.
Seattle Fire Department (SFD) was on scene. It appeared the suspect tried to push some of the combustibles under the door. The business was unoccupied however the back door was adjacent to an apartment building. Seattle Fire Department extinguished the fire without substantial damage and no injuries.
Fire Marshall 5 responded as well as Seattle Police Arson Bomb Unit. SFD also had Arson patrols in the area.
