3 males stabbed

On 11/21/09, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a call of a stabbing at 3rd Avenue & Spring Street.  Upon arrival they contacted a male victim with a stab wound to the abdomen. All of his ‘friends’ fled.

The victim was uncooperative and would not give a suspect description, nor would he state where the incident occurred.  The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center(HMC) by medics for treatment.  At HMC, officers contacted two additional stabbing victims that stated they had been assaulted in the same area.

One of the additional victims claimed all three victims had been together.  Gang Unit detectives responded to HMC and determined that although two of the victims were known to them, this was not likely a gang related assault, but rather the victim’s may have confronted a male that felt the need to defend himself.

One witness claimed the suspect shouted, “You messed with the wrong ‘expletive’,” during the attack.    An area check for both the suspect and crime scene was negative.
