On December 23rd, at approximately 3:10 am, West Precinct patrol officers responded to a burglary of a residence in the 2900 Block of 25th Avenue West. The caller stated that he woke up after hearing voices inside the house and got up to investigate. The suspects fled the house before the homeowner could get a description. Officers and a K9 responded and set up containment and began a search for the suspects. The search continued north to West Dravus Street but the suspects were not located. Stolen property from the house was located in yards to the north of the house. The recovered property was returned to the homeowner. The homeowner had recently been Christmas shopping and many of the stolen items were unwrapped gifts. Evidence from the scene was collected and this case will be forwarded to the burglary detectives for follow up investigation.
