Auto Theft suspects apprehended in Magnolia

On January 14th at approximately 2:19 a.m. a citizen called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle driving slowly up and down the street near 28th Avenue West and West Dravus Street.  The complainant/witness further reported that the vehicle was leaving the area driving with its lights off.

Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description of the suspicious vehicle in the area and began following it.  Officers ran the suspect vehicle’s license plates through the police database and found that the vehicle was stolen from the north end.  Officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle in the 2600 block of West Crockett Street when both male suspects fled from the vehicle on foot.  Multiple officers and a K-9 unit responded, set up a perimeter and began aggressively searching for the suspects.

Both suspects were apprehended in the area and placed under arrest.  The stolen vehicle was recovered and taken to the evidence unit for processing.

Both adult male suspects were booked into the King County Jail: the driver for Investigation of Auto Theft and Eluding and the passenger for Investigation of Auto Theft.
