Robbery suspect caught downtown after chase

On January 20th at approximately 4:10 p.m. witnesses saw an adult male suspect break into a vehicle in a parking lot in the 500 block of Broad Street.  The suspect stole a laptop computer and began fleeing the scene on foot.  Two witnesses chased the suspect while one of them called 911 on their phone.  During the chase the suspect threatened one of the witnesses with a screw driver.

Responding officers located and arrested the suspect at Dexter Avenue North and North Harrison Street minutes after getting the initial 911 call.  The suspect, a 56-year-old male, was subsequently booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
