Wedgwood bank robbery

On January 25th, at approximately 10:10 am, North Precinct officers responded to a report of an armed bank robbery in the 8200 Block of 35th Avenue NE.  An unknown male entered the bank and approached the teller, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.  The suspect is described as a white male, late 20s to early 30’s, 5′ 7″, medium build, wearing a navy knit cap, green camouflage jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt.  He was also carrying a black backpack.  After robbing the bank, the suspect walked out of the bank and left the area.  He was last seen eastbound on NE 82nd Street. Officers arrived quickly and set up containment, but were not able to locate the suspect.   Detectives from the Violent Crimes Task Force responded to conduct the follow up investigation.  Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact Seattle Police or CrimeStoppers  at 1-800 222-TIPS (8477) or send a text to CRIMES (274637).  Your text message should include “TIP486” to ensure proper routing.
