On March 23rd, at approximately 2:07 AM, North Precinct officers responded to an armed robbery call at a business located at North 46th and Stone Avenue North. According to witnesses, three armed suspects fled the store after ripping the cash register from the counter. As officers were arriving, they spotted a possible suspect fleeing the store running northbound. Containment was set up quickly and a K-9 and his handler responed to the scene within five minutes of the robbery. Two suspects were located a short distance away by the K-9. One 9mm handgun was recovered where the first suspect, a 26 year old female was taken into custody. A 24 year old male was also tracked and arrested. Multiple items of evidence were recovered including the cash register. Both suspects were taken to Harborview Medical Center for minor injuries they sustained while being taken into custody. Robbery detectives responded to the hospital to interview the suspects. The third suspect managed to get away. Once released from the hospital, the suspects will be booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery. Robbery detectives will conduct the follow up investigation.
