On April 15th, at approximately 11:34 AM, West Precinct officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress in the 2900 Block of 24th Avenue West. The homeowner called 911 to report that a man was breaking into his house. Patrol officers, traffic officers, and Robbery Unit detectives that were in the area all responded. As officers were arriving in the area, one officer saw the suspect running and directed additional officers in for containment. Detectives spotted the suspect in the 3000 Block of 24th Avenue West and took him into the custody. The 19 year old male was interviewed by detectives and later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. West Precinct Burglary detectives will be conducting the follow up investigation.
