On Saturday, May 22nd at approximately 2:29 a.m. officers on patrol observed a disturbance in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South. Once the parties were separated it was determined that the intoxicated male suspect had been a problem at one of the nearby nightclubs earlier and once the bar closed, the suspect continued his previously spurned attempts to woo a young lady. Not deterred by her dismissal of his advances, the suspect decided he would give it one last shot by jumping in her car with her. The suspect had not been invited to enter her vehicle and his actions yielded an unpleasant response.
While in the vehicle the suspect’s actions led the female victim to feel she was about to be assaulted, so she called out for help. Security from a nearby club responded and as the suspect exited the victim’s vehicle he threw the woman’s CD case at her. The suspect was arrested for assault and subsequently booked into the King County Jail.
