Man assaulted downtown, suspects arrested

On July 2, at approximately 2:30 AM, West Precinct officers responded to a report of an assault in the 500 Block of 3rd Avenue.  The call stated that a man had his neck cut.  Officers arrived quickly and located both the victim and a witness who both pointed out two  group of individuals walking away from the scene in opposite directions. The individuals were stopped and three out of the four suspects were positively identified.  Officers arrested the suspects and transported them to the precinct. Officers were able to determine that the victim and witness had been sleeping next to the transit tunnel entrance in the 200 Block of Yesler Way.  The victim and witness woke up to the group standing around the victim  assaulting him.   The victim had cuts on his face and neck, and had been cut with a broken bottle and hit in the face with a brick.  The Seattle Fire Department responded to treat the 38 year old victim before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center.  The suspects, ages 15, 16, and 19 were all booked into the Youth Services Center and King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
