SPD Vice nabs two for promoting child prostitution

On June 15th, a 17-year-old victim and her mother called Seattle Police to file a report regarding the victim being recruited into prostitution.  The victim stated that two Tacoma men, ages 21 and 20, were responsible and that she had met them on a social networking Web site.   The victim reported meeting the two men and then being prostituted in Tacoma, Des Moines and Seattle.  Once arriving in Seattle, she refused to continue and the suspects abandoned her.  The victim called her mother to pick her up.

Detectives were able to develop enough information during their follow up investigation to identify the two suspects.
On July 1st at 4 p.m., SPD Vice (accompanied by FBI and Tacoma PD), served a search warrant in the  2900 block of S 80th Street in Tacoma.  Both suspects were located in the residence and arrested.  The search revealed numerous items of evidence.   Additional suspects were identified and at least one other arrest is possible.  Both suspects were booked into jail for Promoting Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
