On Friday, July 2nd at approximately 3:40 p.m. officers responded to a 911 report of a man screaming and possibly being assaulted in the area of NE 140th Street and 30th Avenue NE.  Officers arrived on scene and were approached by the adult male victim, who was bloodied.  Officers quickly determined that the suspect had been shot in the mouth with an unknown weapon and called for medics.  SFD Medics responded to the scene and subsequently transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently under treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers canvassing the area recovered a pellet rifle on the property of a residence in the 13700 block of 30th Avenue NE.  Officers surrounded the residence and secured the area while the SWAT team responded to the scene.  SWAT team officers entered the residence in question and determined that nobody else was inside.  Homicide/Assault detectives responded to the scene and will be serving a search warrant on the residence as part of their active and on-going investigation.
