Fight Disturbance near school leaves two injured

On July 16th at approximately 9:24 p.m. officers responded to a 911 report of a large fight involving approximately 20 males near Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street.  Officers arrived on scene and found two victims lying on the ground.  The suspects were gone upon the officers’ arrival.  SFD medics were called to the scene.

Victim #1, a male in his late teens, was found lying in the street near the 5200 block of South Henderson Street.  He was treated by medics at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) with non-life-threatening injuries.  Victim #2, also a male in his late teens, was located near the gymnasium of a nearby high school.  He was treated at the scene by medics and transported to HMC for treatment of a possible head injury. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that there were no shots fired nor are there any indications of firearms being involved in the disturbance. 

Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating.
