On 9/13/10, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the victim called 9-1-1 after she was able to flee her house in the 6200 block of 44 Av S. Her ex-boy friend came over earlier in the night and they were discussing their relationship. The victim stated that the suspect was getting very hostile and his actions were getting scary.
The victim attempted to call 9-1-1 and the suspect took her phone away from her. He knocked her down on the bed and would not let her leave. This started around 10:00 p.m. The suspect kept the victim from leaving and he prevented her from calling 9-1-1.
The suspect, a 27-year-old male threatened to kill the victim. The victim was afraid and felt that he would carry out his threats to kill her. He also threatened to kill himself and told her he would have the police kill him.
The victim finally was able to get out of the house and used a neighbor’s phone and call 9-1-1. Officers arrived and secured the premise. Hostage Negotiators finally made contact with the suspect on the phone. After numerous conversations the suspect exited the house and was taken into custody.
The suspect has had DV situations before with the victim. He has also made threats of suicide by police in other jurisdictions.
The suspect will be booked into King County Jail for Domestic Violence/Threats to Kill and Unlawful Imprisonment.
