Suspect arrested in Magnolia Armed Robbery

On October 2, 2010 at approximately 2:00 a.m. a 42-year-old male victim became involved in a verbal disturbance with a group of males getting gas at 20th Avenue West and West Dravus Street.  The victim had purchased a few items inside the convenience store and as he was leaving the store asked a group of males (the suspects) to turn down their loud car stereo.

Once the victim arrived at 21st and Thorndyke, the suspects drove up and surrounded him.  One suspect had a knife in his hand as he confronted the victim.  The three male suspects proceeded to knock the victim to the ground and kick and strike him several times.  The suspects stole the victim’s merchandise that he had just purchased and fled the scene.  The victim sustained bruises and a sore back.

Robbery detectives developed information during the course of their investigation that led to the identity of one of the suspects.  On October 13, 2010 at approximately 1:00 p.m. Robbery detectives located and arrested that suspect in Seattle without incident.  He was transported to the Robbery Office for processing.  The 22-year-old male suspect from Seattle was interviewed and released pending further investigation.

This remains an active and on-going Armed Robbery investigation.
