On 10/18/19, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a city-wide “help the officer” call went out for assistance in the 1500 block of 2nd Ave. According to the on-scene Commander, 2 officers were assaulted during an undercover sting operation. The two officers were treated on scene by Seattle Fire and transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
At this posting, it is unknown exactly what precipitated the assault on the officers. 3 suspects were arrested, however.
