On 10/24/10, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of 1st and Forest in response to a “man with a gun” call. The witness was bouncer at a local club who was outside the club attempting to break-up a fight. One of the parties displayed a gun and started raising it and the bouncer told the suspect to put it away and not do something stupid.
Numerous friends were with the suspect and they grabbed him and escorted him up the block away from the disturbance. The suspect tried to hide the gun in some bushes, but didn’t because there were too many people around. The friends and the suspect got into a parked white SUV just as Police arrived.
All occupants were detained, the suspect was positively identified by the witness, and a firearm was recovered. A second firearm was also found in the vehicle. The suspect and many of his friends are Asian Gang members. The suspect was booked for into King County Jail for Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act.
