Homicide downtown, suspect arrested

On October 26th at approximately 4:41 p.m. officers responded to 911 calls of shots fired at 2nd Avenue and Pike Street with a male victim reportedly down.  Officers arrived on scene and discovered a 31-year-old male victim on the northwest corner of 2nd Avenue and Pike Street who had sustained a gunshot wound.  SFD medics were called to the scene and subsequently transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.  The victim has since died as a result of his injuries. 

Responding officers saturated the area.  Foot beat officers located and arrested a 27-year-old male suspect in the 100 block of Pine Street.  Officers also recovered a handgun.  The suspect was interviewed by Homicide detectives and will be booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Murder. 

This remains an active and on-going homicide investigation.
