Assault downtown

On October 30th at approximately 12:15 a.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic violence disturbance in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue.  Upon arrival they contacted a female victim who had been assaulted and sustained minor injuries.  The victim advised officers that the suspect was barricaded and may be armed.  On-duty SWAT officers responded to the scene and attempted to take the suspect into custody.  A chemical irritant was used to incapacitate the suspect and he was placed under arrest.  The suspect was subsequently booked into the King County Jail.
