On November 6th at approximately 6:40 p.m. officers responded to a three-vehicle collision with life-threatening injuries in the 1700 block of North Northgate Way.
Investigation indicates that two vehicles, a sedan and a van, were both traveling westbound on North Northgate Way. In the 1700 block the driver of the van rear-ended the driver of the sedan. The driver of the van got out and was inspecting the damage caused by the collision.
While the van driver stood between the two vehicles, a third vehicle also traveling westbound collided into the van, pinning the van driver between the two originally involved vehicles.
SFD medics responded to the scene and transported the van driver to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Investigating officers evaluated the involved drivers for signs of impairment due to alcohol and/or drugs. No signs of impairment were detected.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
