On December 22nd, at approximately 12:20 AM, South Precinct officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 Block of 25th Avenue South for a shooting incident. Officers arrived and found the 26 year old male victim sitting on the front porch. He had been shot twice in the lower leg. Seattle Fire Department also responded and treated the victim’s injuries. The victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Before he was taken to the hospital, the victim told officers he was on the porch smoking a cigarette when the suspect got out of a black car and began talking with him. At some point, the suspect reportedly reached back into the car and pulled out a gun, shooting it at the victim 5 times. The victim was struck twice, one round struck the house, and the other two rounds could not be located. Officers conducted a search of the area, but were not able to locate the suspect or car. Gang detectives are also investigating.
