The SPD Breakfast Club fundraiser netted about $1,359, 10% of which will go to the family of a 5-year-old boy who has leukemia. “Robert” is now in his second month of remission, but still must undergo extensive chemotherapy for the next three years. The remainder of the money will be included in the fundraising efforts of Seattle’s Finest, a 2011 Relay for Life Team. Seattle’s Finest’s goal is to raise $6,000 for the American Cancer Society by June 11, 2011.
