On June 2nd at approximately 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 1400 block of NE Ravenna Boulevard. Once on scene, the complainants were uncooperative with investigating officers.
Officers were then dispatched to a report of a vehicle into a building within the same hundred block (officers did not hear or see this collision however, there appears to have been a time delay in the reporting of the collision).
Officers responded to the collision scene in the 1400 block of NE Ravenna Boulevard. Preliminary investigation indicates that the only involved vehicle, a Subaru Impreza WRX 4-door sedan, was driven into a ditch and came to rest touching the apartment building in question. There was no damage to the building. The driver of the involved vehicle had fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. The vehicle was subsequently impounded.
While officers were on scene investigating the collision, the registered owner of the Subaru involved in the collision reported his vehicle stolen. Officers made contact with the registered owner, a 26-year-old male, who displayed obvious signs of intoxication. While speaking with officers the subject retracted his claim that the Subaru had been stolen. Officers interviewed and released the subject from the scene.
Officers will be requesting charges for Hit and Run and False Reporting.
