Quick thinking officers capture burglary suspects in North Seattle

On 6/24/11, at approximately 5:40 a.m., a resident interrupted a burglary in progress to the garage and storage area that also contains his bedroom in the 12000 block of 40 Av NW.  Suspects fled in a vehicle. The victim was able to provide a description and license plate.  Officers positioned themselves at likely places to intercept the vehicle.  The vehicle was observed entering southbound I-5 from NE 125th.  Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the suspects without incident.

The victim was able to positively identify two of the suspects.  He identified numerous stolen items in the car and the suspects were taken into custody.  The vehicle was photographed and impounded with a hold for a search warrant. (Suspect/registered owner later provided detectives with a consent to search.)  Three suspects were booked for Investigation of Burglary and one for possession of stolen property.
