On 6/27/11, this afternoon, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of 18th Av S. to check the welfare of a male that had not reported to work for several days. Officers arrived and were met by Seattle Fire Dept (SFD) #13 who led them to the back of the residence.
Officers observed through a sliding glass door a male lying on the floor with obvious bodily injuries. Officers made entry and ensured the scene was clear of suspect(s). SFD entered and verified that the victim on the floor was deceased. Officers then exited the residence and set up containment of the scene for Homicide investigators.
Homicide and CSI responded and processed the scene. The victim appeared to be in his 50’s.
