On July 25th, at approximately 6:30 PM, East Precinct officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Lake Washington Boulevard on a report of two males fighting in the parking lot. While enroute to the call, there was an update that one of the men had been stabbed.
Officers arrived, along with Seattle Fire Department, and contacted the victim, a 21 year old male. He told officers that he was fighting with a known male and that the man had attempted to pepper spray him in the parking lot. The victim told officers he was able to run away from the suspect, but that eventually the suspect caught up with him and stabbed him in the finger and leg. The victim stated that he was able to hold the suspect down and yelled for people nearby to assist him. Two witnesses came over to assist him, but the suspect was able to break free and run off.
Officers were able to later arrest the suspect at a residence in the 600 Block of 22nd Avenue. The 19 year old male suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Domestic Violence Assault. The injuries to the victim are not considered life threatening.
