Armed Robbery of a pharmacy in North Seattle

On August 5th at approximately 11:03 a.m. officers responded to a silent hold up alarm at a pharmacy in the 14300 block of Lake City Way NE.  Preliminary investigation indicates that an adult male suspect entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter.  The suspect displayed a black handgun and demanded specific drugs be placed into his backpack.  He then jumped over the counter and was in the pharmacy area while waiting for the drugs.  Once the drugs were placed into his backpack he jumped back over the counter and exited the store to the southeast.

Nobody was injured during the course of the robbery and no shots were fired.  Despite an area search, the suspect remains at large.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, 6’1″ to 6’3″, approximately 170 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket and black pants.  The suspect may have fled southbound on 35th Avenue NE in a dark blue Suburban.

Robbery detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
