On August 17th at approximately 12:53 p.m. officers responded to the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue for the report of a man stabbed. Preliminary investigation indicates that the male victim was walking southbound on the west side of the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue when an unknown adult male suspect bumped into him. The victim thought nothing of the contact until a few moments later when he realized that he had been stabbed. The victim continued walking southbound into the 1500 block where he reported the stabbing to a passerby who summoned assistance.
Seattle Police and Fire units arrived on scene simultaneously. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30’s wearing a black leather jacket, black pants and black boots. An area search for the suspect was negative.
