On 8/18 at around 9:04 a.m., Seattle Police North Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of a train/pedestrian fatality collision on the train tracks near Carkeek Park. The pedestrian is believed to be female. A suspicious device was discovered near the body. Out of an abundance of caution, Seattle Police Arson/Bomb Squad detectives have responded to the scene to investigate and render the device safe. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are on scene as well. No further information is available at this time. Updates will be provided as they become available.
