On Saturday, August 27th, thousands of people descended on Ellensburg, Washington for the 2nd Annual Northwest Ride of Dreams Motorcycle and Classic Car Show supporting Special Olympics Washington.
The Special Olympics Washington Northwest Ride of Dreams is a statewide fundraising effort organized by local law enforcement agencies throughout the state as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign (LETR).
Over $50,000 was raised at this year’s event. That money will directly benefit the mission of Special Olympics Washington, to provide athletes with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes, and the community.
The 2nd Annual Northwest Ride of Dreams generated a large turnout for a great cause and the Seattle Police Department and its officers are happy to have been a part of it.
