On 9/3/11, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to S. King and 8th Ave S. to investigate a disturbance on a Metro coach. Initially, the report was that the suspect was refusing to leave the coach.
When the officers arrived, they contacted the victim and learned that the suspect had already been asked to leave the coach once. He had subsequently run back onto the coach forcing the driver to ask him to leave again.
During a verbal argument with the operator, the suspect kicked the driver in the chest. The driver was forced to defend himself and physically remove the man from the coach.
The suspect still refused to leave the area, demanding reentry to the coach. The officers took him into custody and booked him into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault. The suspect appeared to be intoxicated at the time of arrest.
