On 9/3/11, just shortly before 9:00 p.m. officers responded to 28th Av S and S. Jackson St. to investigate reports of several shots fired following a loud verbal dispute involving a group of 20-30 young males in that same area.
The officers searched the area, but did not find any victims. At about the same time, there was a report of an unidentified woman running down the street saying that her brother had been shot. Officers searched the area for any sign of a scene, and for the woman, but they were unable to find any additional information, even after checking at local hospitals.
Though there were people in the area. No one reported seeing the shots fired, and no one was able to provide any suspect information.
