1 dead, 3 wounded in South Seattle shooting

On September 12th, at approximately 2:45 am, South Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a shooting at the bus stop at Rainier Avenue South and South McClellan Street.  An adult female and three adult males were sitting together in a bus shelter when a suspect vehicle with possibly three male suspects in it stopped.  The suspects got out of the car and approached the group in the shelter.  There was a confrontation, and one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and began firing, striking all four victims.  One of the male victims was killed in the shelter.  Another male victim was able to run across the street to a gas station before collapsing in the parking lot.  Seattle Fire arrived and transported all of the injured victims to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

A number of patrol officers, as well as Homicide and CSI detectives responded to the scene.  Homicide detectives are now conducting their investigation.  This is preliminary information and subject to change.  Anyone with any information on this shooting is asked to contact Seattle Police.
