On October 17th at around 6:45 a.m., Seattle Police encouraged demonstrators to remove tents from city property (Westlake Park). Officer sought and received voluntary compliance from most of those encamped there. Those refusing to leave were placed under arrest.
In all, three adult men were arrested for Obstructing a Public Officer and Resisting Arrest. All three will be booked into King County Jail.
Another three adult men and one adult woman were arrested for Obstructing a Public Officer. They were transported to the West Precinct. They will be interviewed and released. Their cases will be forwarded to the City Attorney’s Office with a request for charges.
