On October 19th, at approximately 7:00 pm, a restaurant owner was in the process of closing his business for the night. The business is located in the 7100 Block of Rainier Avenue South. As he walked out of the restaurant, he was confronted by two suspects who forced him back inside. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects had struck the victim in the head and restrained his arms and legs. The suspects robbed the victim of cash and personal effects, and then fled the restaurant. It is believed that the suspects fled in a tan or brown Toyota Camry or similar style car.
A number of officers responded to the call, but the suspects were not located. Robbery detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation. The victim was treated at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department for a gash to his head and was checked out later at the hospital.
It is believed that both suspects were Asian males, with dark complexions, possibly Cambodian, Laotian, or Filipino. They both spoke with accents. One of the suspects had something covering his face.
