Man stabbed, 2 arrested

On 10/28/11, at approximately 9:53 p.m.,  Officers were called into the area of the 2200 block of  4th Ave S to investigate a fight disturbance where a man was on the ground.

Witnesses in a SUV arrived on scene and told officers that a white male and white female had assaulted a man. The pair (suspects) then left walking southbound from the location. The victim, a 43-year-old man was still on the ground, with stab wounds to his chest and neck.

Seattle Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable, but critical condition.  The suspect description was very detailed and School Security personnel from the District Office heard the information on their radios and saw the suspects in front of their building in the 2400 block of  3rd Ave S.

Officers quickly arrived in the area and arrested the man and woman, without incident.  The witnesses in the SUV arrived and positively identified the suspects.  A search for the weapon (scissors) was conducted without success.  Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.

It appears all of the persons involved are local transients.
