On 11-6-11, at approximately 1149 a.m., a man called 911 stating that his girlfriend had been shot and that he was arriving at Swedish Hospital with her.
Officers responded to Swedish Hospital on Broadway Ave and located the man and the 20-year-old female victim at the hospital’s main entrance. The victim was taken inside by staff. She was quickly transferred to Harborview Medical Center via Medic Unit.
The witness/boyfriend told officers that he and the victim were near Franklin High School. As they were getting into their parked car, a smaller black car drove up beside them. A passenger in that car fired several rounds in their direction, 2 of the rounds struck the victim as she was getting into the driver’s seat.
The witness/boyfriend moved the victim to the back seat and drove her to Swedish Medical Center.
Officers checked the area but could not locate a shooting scene and there were no calls of shots fired in that area. A bullet hole and blood was located in driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was impounded with a hold for the Homicide Unit.
At the time of this posting, the victim’s condition is unknown.
