On November 16th, 2011 at approximately 11:21 p.m. a 22-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Aurora Avenue North walking eastbound at the intersection with North 105th Street. The pedestrian was in or near the crosswalk in the northbound lanes when she was struck by a white 1995 Ford Taurus four-door sedan. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle stopped and was subsequently identified. The female pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Although several witnesses were identified, investigation indicates that there were additional witnesses who either left the area before police arrived or were not identified.
Seattle Police Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) detectives are interested in talking to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have other information regarding the incident.
