Woman obviously not in the holiday spirit, assaults officer

On 12/9/2011, at approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer was working off-duty security at a bookstore in Pacific Place.

The manager asked the officer to stand by while he spoke with a female who was acting erratically.

During the contact, the manager advised the female that she was no longer welcome at the store and advised her that she was trespassed.  The subject directed several expletives towards the manager and began to walk farther into the store.

When the officer attempted to detain her, she began to struggle.  During that struggle, she kicked the officer in the knee three times.  She also attempted to throw a ceramic coffee mug at the officer.

When additional officers arrived, the suspect was taken into custody.  Neither officer nor the suspect was injured in the struggle.  The suspect was ultimately booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
