On 12/10/11, at approximately 9:55 a.m., the complainant notified 911 that he’d come upon several plastic garbage bags on the ground in the wooded area to the east and across from the 3100 block of Fairview Ave. E.
The complainant reported that a human appendage was sticking out of one of the bags. The bags had been on the ground in that spot for some time. Patrol responded and sealed off the scene then called out Homicide Detectives. CSI and the King County Medical Examiner (ME) also responded.
The King County Medical Examiner took possession of the remains.
This is an open and active investigation.
