Suspect Vasser turned himself in to the King County Jail just shortly before 6:00 p.m. this evening. He was on the phone with his Community Corrections Officer when he surrender.
On 12/14/11, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a complainant called 911 to report that while on a school field trip a parent chaperone recognized one of the other parent chaperones as being on Washington’s Most Wanted List. The caller reported that the subject was out with 20 kids and 3 parents.
The school was contacted and immediately went into lockdown. Patrol officers, SWAT, and a K-9 unit arrived in the area and began searching for the suspect. After an extensive search of the school and the surrounding area the school returned to routine business. There were no reports of injuries to any students or staff at the school.
