On 12/14/11, at approximately 1141 p.m., officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 4200 block of 47 Av S. Officers arrived and found a 69-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her body. Seattle Fire responded and treated the woman on scene. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Family members stated that earlier in the night, the victim had attempted to calm her daughter (suspect) who was having some sort of mental episode. At some point a scuffle ensued between the daughter and mother. The daughter armed herself with a knife, chased down the victim and stabbed her multiple times.
The 43-year old suspect/daughter was arrested at the scene. She will be subsequently booked into King County Jail for Investigation of DV Assault.
