On January 3rd at approximately 6:45 pm, three black male suspects wearing masks entered a pawn shop in the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. At least one of the suspects displayed a handgun.
The suspects gathered the employees and a customer and took them to the back of the store. The victims were all forced to get down on the floor, while the suspects ordered the employee to hand over money. The suspects also broke several display cases and took various items inside the cases. The suspects then fled out the door.
After 911 was called, a number of officers responded to the area but the suspects were not located.
Detectives from the Robbery Unit were called and responded to process the scene and interview the victims.
This remains an active and on-going armed robbery investigation.
