Detectives make robbery arrest

On January 20th of this year, a juvenile male had just stepped off a bus at Beacon Avenue South and South Spokane Street with his friend.  They noticed that two males also got off at the same stop and followed them.  While the victims were walking, they were confronted by the suspects.  The suspects demanded the victim’s iphone.  One of the  suspects grabbed the victim’s phone out of his hand and ran off.  Information developed by detectives led to the identity of one of the suspects.

Robbery detectives contacted the suspect at his residence in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.  He was taken into custody without incident.  He was interviewed by detectives and provided information about his accomplice.  After being interviewed by detectives, the 18 year old suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.  This remains an active and on going robbery investigation.
