Seattle police, working with officers from the Department of Corrections (DOC), seized four handguns at the home of a felon in south Seattle Monday night.
Police and DOC officers found the weapons after they served a warrant on the 26-year-old felon’s home on 23rd Avenue S. and S. Forest Street.
After DOC and police found the guns—one of which was stolen in King County—he admitted to officers that he had purchased one of the handguns, despite the fact that, as a convicted felon, he is prohibited from owning firearms.
Officers booked the man into the King County Jail for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, and for violating the terms of his Department of Corrections community supervision.
