On 4-15-12, at approximately 1:19 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of S. Augusta St to a reported drive by shooting. Upon arrival officers learned that at 12:00 a.m., there was an argument outside of this residence between the victim and another female.
Just shortly after 1:00 a.m., two cars pulled up in front of the residence and a male fired a shotgun into the front door after knocking. A female with a baby inside fled to a back bedroom upon hearing the knock. There were no injuries and the vehicles fled the scene.
Officers quickly arrived in the area and stopped two vehicles a short distance from the residence. The suspect was arrested from one of the vehicles. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded to the processing room for a warrant to be served as it is believed the shotgun is inside the vehicle. There was one spent casing and one unspent casing recovered from the scene.
The 23-year-old suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Drive by shooting.
