On 6/2/12, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injured male down in a parking lot in the 900 block of N 85 St. The store employee indicated the subject appeared to have been in a fight and possibly stabbed.
Arriving officers secured the scene and verified the subject did have stab wounds. Seattle Fire Department arrived and evaluated/treated the subject. The highly intoxicated victim was only able to give a very vague description of the other party involved and he was unsure of where the altercation had taken place.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. Officers began checking nearby transient hangouts and camps. A second subject was contacted at one of the camps, located in the 8800 block of Aurora Av N. He had fresh cuts on his hands that appeared to be knife wounds. The subject admitted to being involved in a fight disturbance, but only after he was attacked with a knife.
Officers located a large cargo box on the vacant lot where the fight had taken place. The knife was recovered and evidence was collected. The second subject was transported to the North Precinct and released, pending further investigation
