A teen-aged male was stabbed during a large fight disturbance at Golden Gardens Park last night. At approximately 11:35 p.m. multiple patrol officers responded to Golden Gardens Park in the 8400 block of Seaview Avenue NW for reports of a large fight disturbance. Upon arrival officers found a large party of teenagers on the northern beach area. Officers discovered no on-going fights or assault victims.
Approximately 10 minutes later a victim called 911 to report that he had been stabbed at the park. The victim had self-evacuated to a friend’s house in the area. Further investigation indicated that the victim had multiple stab wounds to his upper torso however, the victim was uncooperative with investigating officers and the suspect(s) remain at large.
North Precinct patrol officers responding to the initial call were supplemented by multiple officers from the Violence Prevention Emphasis Patrol, which allowed officers to rapidly clear the beach and close down the park for the night.
