Two men have been shot in the Lake City neighborhood and officers are actively searching for the suspects and suspect vehicle. On June 21st at approximately 3:49 p.m. officers responded to the 12700 block of 30th Avenue NE for the report of shots fired and a man down.
Preliminary investigation indicates that two male suspects in a small sedan got into some type of altercation with a male pedestrian in a parking lot in the 12700 block of 30th Avenue NE. Words were exchanged and one of the suspects fired several shots from the vehicle. The pedestrian, a male in his 30’s, was struck in the leg and fell to the ground.
A second victim, a male in his 40’s, approached officers in the parking lot and notified them that he had been shot in the buttocks (the second victim was apparently struck by a stray round fired by the suspect in the vehicle).
Both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white or gray Honda that remains at large.
Gang Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
