This morning at 10:46 am, officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance involving a man, woman, and a 8 month old child at the Safeway parking lot in the 3800 Block of Rainier Avenue South. The woman stated that her estranged boyfriend had intentionally hit her vehicle, and then took their 8-month old child and left southbound on Rainier in a white Chevy Tahoe.
A number of officers responded and checked the surrounding area for the reported suspect vehicle. Officers were able to make contact with the boyfriend via telephone and convinced him to return to the scene. Upon his return, he informed the officers that he had dropped off the child with relatives. Officers were able to locate the child and he is safe. Officers are now investigating this domestic violence property damage call. The male suspect was arrested and will be booked into jail later.
